What do you think the color blue represents? I think it represents many things including feelings. Personally, blue makes me feel relaxed – there’s something calming and soothing about a light blue hue, or even melancholic about a dark blue.
I’m a strong believer in wearing what you feel through color. A lot of the time I wear certain colors that express my current emotion(s), and sometimes I’m surprised to find that I do this unconsciously. I’ll be walking around wearing a red dress and feeling confident, or wearing a white and black patterned skirt and feeling silly or jovial.
Fashion is a form of art, and one channels their feelings through art so it makes sense that one would wear a specific color to depict what their feeling, right? Maybe I’m wrong, but I still wear what I feel whether I know it or not.
Fashion week in Paris definitely got me feeling some strong emotions. I wore an electric blue sweater and very light blue shorts, and I incorporated some white into my outfit with the bag and shoes before the Elie Saab show. The white was a way to include a neutral color into the outfit as to try to emphasize the boldness of the blue sweater.
It was another warm day in Paris so I decided to wear shorts in anticipation for spring and summer, but since it hadn’t yet reached the high temperatures I decided to add a comfy sweater to keep me warm without wearing a jacket (which sometimes can be a hassle to put on and take off if the weather is inconsistent throughout the day).
And finally some accessories! The make it or break it of an outfit. I wanted to stay casual with a turquoise ring and a sliver choker necklace and black sunnies to attempt the incognito mode. I would have liked to wear a slightly longer and more decorative necklace though, which would have gone well with the outfit, but I was feeling the silver and toned-down look instead.
In the end, I think it’s more like 50 shades of feelings.
