About Autumn

November 16, 2016

There’s something so sweet and special about the first autumn breeze – the way the air is slightly chilly and makes the burnt orange leaves fall from the trees. The sensation one gets when it starts getting dark at 5pm and the sunset is just a faint glimmer in the distance is unique to autumn; it calls for turtlenecks, oversized scarves, hot chocolate by the fire, and warm jazz tunes. There’s nothing better than getting ready for the first cold day after a warm and busy summer and feeling that refreshing draft tickle your skin.

I’m partial towards summer and warmth but I do enjoy those moments in autumn and winter where you can cuddle up to your loved ones and enjoy the warmth that a home supplies. It’s always a good idea to take some time off from the stress of school, work, life in general, and just spend time doing things that really mean something to you – whether it’s a trivial thing like reading a book, or taking a walk, or going to a café with a dear friend. Your health, sanity, and appreciation of the things that you have in your life should come first.
