Visiting Milan, or anywhere in Italy, is always a pleasure. The country burgeons with history that’s clearly represented by the architecture of the buildings and houses, the small streets, the charming old restaurants, the endless museums, and basically everything else. It’s apparent that Italians like taking pleasure in the little things, like the aperitivo before dinner, which just adds more glamour to the already rich and beautiful culture. Not only does Italy leave you completely charmed (and plenty full with pizza, pasta, gelato, etc.), but it leaves you wanting for more. That’s the drawing power it has – it will fascinate you so much that you want to go back. Sometimes there’s no reason for this, it can be quite self-explanatory: it’s Italia.
So, if you’re ever visiting Milan, even if it’s for the 1st or 10th time, remember to take in all the little things and details. Whether it’s an aperol spritz before dining with friends or family, or eating as many pastries as you can find, or watching elegantly dressed women/men walk by, or sitting in front of a painting for hours… just absorb it all. Don’t forget to take a few pictures along the way.
