A lot of the time, I feel like I’m not in New York City. It seems so strange to me to live in a city that’s surrounded by giant skyscrapers, especially whenever I go midtown or uptown. In those moments, I’m reminded of the monumentalism of Manhattan that pretty much sucks me in, slightly binding me, to this “concrete jungle” as they say.
For this little excursion that is quite unusual for me (as I typically stay within my bubble downtown), I decided to wear a striped shirt, white culottes, a simple rectangular beige cross body bag, and brown scrappy heels. This look, in my opinion, fit in well with the location as it’s more corporate and formal.
