Neutrals

What better way to travel from London to Paris and vice versa? The Eurostar, of course. It’s so convenient if you want to be in Paris or in London in less than 3 hours. If you get your tickets at least 2-3 weeks in advance, you won’t have to pay so much. But even getting your tickets for a last minute weekend getaway, they never end up being outrageously expensive. Wonderful, right?

Whenever I feel homesick, I just take a train back to Paris and all is good! The first thing I usually do when I get back is buy a baguette and devour it – classically stereotypical, but I love it. So last weekend, I visited my family and happened to run into Paris Fashion Week as well. Instead of attending the shows, I decided to roam around the entrance of the shows, which happened to be very fun (there were so many cute outfits!)

On Sunday, the day before leaving to go back to London for school, I went to the Chloe show. I wanted to go a little neutral for my look, so I paired a dark beige skirt with light beige shoes, and a short-sleeved white shirt. I really liked this outfit because the neutral colors made it look like a casual street-style yet the heels added more elegance and sophistication.

In terms of accessories, the clutch purse that I included in this outfit was a silver-studded and white, the perfect combination to this style. It didn’t overwhelm the look and it made for a nice addition. The necklace I had really enhanced the whole outfit. It added an unexpected burst of color with the yellow and it drew more attention to the look. I felt that adding too many accessories would swamp this look, so I just grabbed some sunnies and a delicate ring.

Even though many people say not to, I sometimes like to use both silver and gold in my outfits in very little quantity. Too much of it and it might look weird. I thought that it was the perfect occasion to mix in some touches of gold with my nail polish and my ring, which goes well with the yellow necklace and the beige skirt. However, the necklace is also silver so I used my silver-studded bag to compensate and the design at the back of my heels to enhance the color as well.

After the Chloe show, a beautiful sunset presented itself and I couldn’t miss it as it shined on the Pont Alexandre III. It was truly a magnificent way to end Paris Fashion Week for me.
