Life is all about sacrifices – many times one will have to give up something in order to get something else. It’s inevitable and it happens to everyone at least once in their lives. Many people think that making sacrifices is a dreadful act, but sometimes it’s necessary and it doesn’t always have to be negative. I think it’s a good thing because it challenges your daily life and makes you think of every possible outcome in a certain situation. Think about it, what would life be without a few sacrifices?

Recently I’ve been sacrificing certain things; usually they’re not extremely significant, like lunch plans or going to the gym, or even taking a day off to relax. It’s the little things. To be honest, something that I’ve been doing a lot lately is not wearing a coat or a particular piece of clothing because it doesn’t go with my outfit. Silly, right? “It’s for the sake of fashion!” someone once said. That person is completely right, but don’t go overboard. Obviously if it’s snowing outside, you’re not going to walk out without a coat. You’ll only end up miserable and sick. Do what you want, but it kind of does add a certain rebellious quality to it all.

For this outfit, I was about to surrender my coat and my umbrella (rain isn’t my favorite) but luckily I didn’t although I had a nice cashmere turtleneck to keep me warm. If you’re looking to give up an item of clothing for your outfit, then do so with logic. Here I chose to wear a warm sweater so if I wanted to walk without my coat, I could without being completely frigid. Paired this off with mom jeans and the go-to Stan Smith sneakers for the typical casual Sunday ‘sweater weather’ look. Topped it off with a black jacket and bag for color symmetry and that was it. unspecified-4unspecified-1
