La Libraire, Sézane

March 24, 2017

This place is one of the loveliest secret hideouts in Paris. The cult brand Sézane is known for its clothing and accessories online but they also have a store where it was born. A trip to Paris only to visit the store might be a little excessive but if you happen to be in the city then do pay a visit to Sézane’s Appartement, Librairie, and Denim Atelier. They’re all situated on the same block so you can hop from one to the other. Currently the Appartement is under renovation but it will be open once again in April 2017. Still, the Librairie would have to be my favorite out of all three because you are free to sit down, grab a coffee (on them!), read, and look through their adorable bags and stationary. You are free to spend as much time there as you want, luckily, because it’s just so welcoming and snug that you may never want to leave.

Spring Stripes

March 17, 2017

The first signs of spring are starting to show in Paris, which is wonderful because the flowers are blooming and the climate is warmer. Everyone finally gets out of hibernation mode to enjoy the streaks of sunshine and to soak up that Vitamin D that one desperately needs after winter. Vintage Leather

February 8, 2017

There are things that can’t be imitated or reproduced the same way old things were. There’s so much history to be found behind an ‘antique’ creation, sometimes the past of it can’t be retraced, which makes it all the more special. It leaves a lot to imagination – who wore this item before me? Who adopted it as their own? The story could be decoded in a million ways, but you will never really know unless you have a sort of testimony. Most importantly though, is the emotion and feeling of the product that has been carried along with its story.

Frills in Montmartre

September 21, 2016

There are so many things that are delightful about Paris but one of my favorite is Montmartre. I’m not talking about the typical tourist square or the cathedral, what I love about this area are the cobblestone streets, the view over Paris, and the hidden historical details that many don’t know about. Personally, what makes something unique and special are the details because if one looks closely, one can see the subtle efforts put into the smaller things.

Bardot

September 7, 2016

All things vintage inspired in terms of clothing are not to be missed. Fashion, after all, is mostly about pulling pieces from past decades and transforming it into something new and contemporary. There are also some looks that are so iconic and distinctive that have remained present throughout the years, such as David Bowie, Madonna, Jane Birkin, Brigitte Bardot… the list goes on. Not only do these people speak to many people on some kind of personal level, but they also inspire one to play dress up once in a while and switch up their look a bit.
