The South of France has many wonders to offer. Among the most popular is the region of Provence, which is known for the various vineyards, the Alps, and the Côte d’Azur. The best way to get a full experience of this area is to rent a car and go village hopping, some of which whose charm has been untouched.
There are so many things that are delightful about Paris but one of my favorite is Montmartre. I’m not talking about the typical tourist square or the cathedral, what I love about this area are the cobblestone streets, the view over Paris, and the hidden historical details that many don’t know about. Personally, what makes something unique and special are the details because if one looks closely, one can see the subtle efforts put into the smaller things.
All things vintage inspired in terms of clothing are not to be missed. Fashion, after all, is mostly about pulling pieces from past decades and transforming it into something new and contemporary. There are also some looks that are so iconic and distinctive that have remained present throughout the years, such as David Bowie, Madonna, Jane Birkin, Brigitte Bardot… the list goes on. Not only do these people speak to many people on some kind of personal level, but they also inspire one to play dress up once in a while and switch up their look a bit.
Over the summer, I had the opportunity to take a trip to Portugal with my parents. As a country I hadn’t visited before, I resorted to buying travel guides and researching online for tips on places to stay, where to go, and the best restaurants to eat. This country, which may not be the first country that comes to mind when visiting Europe, actually should be high up on the list. You will instantly be charmed by it’s incredible views, the funky cobblestone streets, and all the stunning colors it has to offer.
There’s something so amusing and liberating about wearing a maxi dress. It’s more conservative than a simple short dress, hardly showing any legs yet elongating the overall figure, making it look refined. They can be worn on any occasion, notably when formalized during a fancy event, but the most enjoyable moment to wear them would have to be during the day, completely dressed down. It adds vivacity and variation to everyday looks, especially those in which one thinks they have ‘nothing to wear’ – let’s face it, we’ve all been through that. So, why not wear a maxi dress?
